Lady Londonderry and the Great War

Brett Irwin from PRONI(Public Record Office of N.I.) will deliver a presentation on 3 major aspects of the Great War which involved Lady Edith Londonderry. They are the formation of the Women’s Legion, the social club known as ‘the Ark’ and letters sent to her from the Western Front. Brett will base his talk on the archives relating to Lady Londonderry which are in the PRONI archives. Presentation will suit those with an interest in World War 1 as well as social history of the aristocracy.
