BBC Northern Ireland and
Libraries NI have signed a new partnership agreement to help support learning
and development opportunities for communities across Northern Ireland.
This new agreement builds on
many years of co-operation and reflects the shared interests and values of both
organisations. It will include different activities and events across a range
of different areas. Plans are already in place for a large-scale initiative
celebrating the importance and benefits of reading in mid-autumn 2016. And
there will also be screenings, talks and other events that explore the
connections between libraries, learning, broadcasting and the world of books.
This agreement was signed in

be getting underway in the coming months. Partnerships like these are essential
to our work and this one reflects our shared interest in providing local people
with experiences that inform, educate and entertain. Books and reading will be
a big part of what we’ll be doing together, but we’ll also be focusing on
digital inclusion and learning - all of which, we believe, will add real value
to cultural and community life in Northern Ireland.”

said:“We are delighted to have this opportunity
