The County Armagh Heritage collection is located in the Old Armagh City Hospital building in Abbey Street. As well as general resources relating to County Armagh and beyond there are a number of other collections of interest. One such resource is the Seagoe Parish Records of deaths, births and marriages which goes back to the 17th century. These relate to the Portadown area and are of particular value to anyone researching family history from that locality.
There is also a very fine collection of postcards which, apart from those depicting scenic views, includes a selection reflecting political issues such as the Anti-Home Rule campaign and the signing of the Ulster Covenant.
Over 600 pamphlets are held in the collection in Armagh, many of which are extremely rare, and which date back to the 17th century. They cover a wide range of subjects including economics, politics and religion.
