Author meets Ballymena’s Book Buddies

Author Tony Macaulay paid a visit to Ballymena Book Buddies on Monday 5th December 2011.

Tony Macaulay delighted the invited guests with an extract from his book ‘Paperboy’, which is a memoir of his childhood in Belfast in the 1970s. ‘Paperboy’ is described as “an enchanting true story of a Belfast paperboy coming to terms with the Troubles.”

Book Buddies is an Adult Reading Group, which meets on the first Monday of every month in Ballymena Central Library from 6.30pm – 7.30pm.

Ballymena Central Library also has a second Adult Reading Group Books and Banter, which meets on the last Tuesday of every month, from 4.00pm – 5.00pm.

If you enjoy reading and would like to chat about books with others, new members are very welcome to join either reading group. You don’t have to be a library member but if you join, you can borrow the book the group will be discussing for free.

For further information, you can contact Ballymena Central Library (5 Pat’s Brae, BT43 5AX) on telephone number 028 2563 3590 or email ballymena.library@librariesni.org.uk
