Classics Reading Group meets in Belfast Central Library

Those who have a love of classic literature will be able to come along and join the Classics Reading Group, which will meet on the first Thursday of every month in Belfast Central Library, at 1.00pm.

This group will meet for the first time after the summer on Thursday 1st September, giving people the chance to talk about all the great literary gems in a relaxed and informal environment.

There are Reading Groups (for adults, teenagers and children) meeting regularly throughout libraries across Northern Ireland and these groups aim to allow everyone’s reading experiences to be shared and enjoyed.

Ciara Gault, Cultural Services Manager with Libraries NI said:

“We decided to have a Classics Reading Group in Belfast Central Library, as some of our liveliest discussions have taken place in groups when the chosen book has been a classic. I would urge all those who have a love of reading to come along, even if this isn’t the sort of book they would normally choose. Participants don’t have to be library members but if you join, you can borrow the book the group will be discussing for free.”

For more information on the Classics Reading Group, contact Belfast Central Library (126 Royal Avenue, BT1 1EA), on 028 9050 9167 or email centrallending.belb@librariesni.org.uk
