Invitation to ‘Find out more about your Family History’

If you would like to find out more about your family history, Libraries NI is holding a free workshop, ‘Family History Online for Beginners: The Ancestry Library Edition’ in Cregagh Library on Monday 4th March at 2.00pm.

This workshop is the ideal opportunity for anyone who is curious about where they come from and wants to find out about their family roots as you will enjoy an introduction to the Ancestry Library Edition.

Ancestry Library Edition enables you to search UK and US census collections, immigration records, shipping lists, military records, photographs and maps and it has access to over 4,000 databases and collections – some for the first time in electronic format. Ancestry Library Edition is available free to library members at any public library in Northern Ireland.

You will need to have some basic computer skills to fully benefit from the workshop.

Admission is free and booking is advisable. You can contact Cregagh Library (409-413 Cregagh Road, BT6 0LF) on telephone: 028 9040 1365 or email cregagh.library@librariesni.org.uk
