Libraries NI is delighted to announce that the series of poetry@lunchtime events will continue during 2011, with the first of these taking place on Friday 28th January at 1.10pm, when poet Paul Maddern will read his poetry in Strabane Library.
The series is organised jointly by the Alley Theatre and Strabane Library.
Paul Maddern was born in Bermuda, of Cornish and Irish stock. He's lived in Co. Down since 2000. He won the Templar Poetry Pamphlet Competition in 2009, resulting in Kelpdings. In 2010, Templar published The Beachcomber’s Report, his first full-length collection. He's currently completing a PhD at the Seamus Heaney Centre, for which he has established an online archive of poets reading in public.
Admission is free to this event and everyone is welcome to come along and spend their lunchtime enjoying one of N Ireland’s emerging poetry stars.
