Quiz Time in Northern Ireland's Libraries

Library users in Northern Ireland will have a chance to win some early Christmas presents this December, by entering a new online competition.

The Encyclopædia Britannica and Libraries NI Quiz will challenge library users of all ages on their knowledge of all things Northern Irish with an online interactive quiz available via the Libraries NI website www.librariesni.org.uk

Participants will have the chance to win an exciting range of prizes, including an iPod Nano, iPod Touch or a Kindle 3G reader. Entrants can log onto the Encyclopaedia Britannica section of the Libraries NI website either in the library or from home between 2nd – 9th December.

The quiz is separated into three different age categories – 5 to 11, 12 to 18 and 18+ – and one winning entry will be selected from each category.

Library users of all ages in Northern Ireland can currently benefit from free unlimited access to Britannica Online Library Edition and other resources at their local library or remotely via their library membership card.

“Britannica Online is a key part of our Online Library from which library members can access a wide range of world renowned reference resources 24 hours a day. Britannica Online provides reliable homework help and project research material with separate pages for children and adults tailored to each age group. It offers multiple resources from one location - encyclopaedia articles, news, biographies and links to the webs best sites. It is media rich with thousands of graphics, videos, audio clips, interactive games and quizzes which make it an exciting resource to use.”
