Waste of a River Exhibition - in Limavady Library


Libraries NI is pleased to announce that Limavady Library will be hosting Waste of a River, an exhibition of drawings, photographs and mixed media by artist John McMacken, from Thursday 8th December to Thursday 22nd December.

The exhibition launch will take place on Thursday 8th December from 6.00pm and 8.00pm and everyone is welcome to attend this launch.

John McMacken is a second year fine arts student at The University of Ulster, Belfast and currently lives in Limavady. One of his paintings reached the regional finals of the Art of Nurture Competition in 2010. Another of his works has been accepted for hanging in the new Dungiven Library. 

Commenting on the exhibition, Kevin Quinn, Cultural Services Manager, said:

“Limavady Library is delighted to be showing the work of local artist John McMacken, who is making strides in the art world, from 8th – 22nd December.  We would like to invite members of the public to call in during library opening hours and enjoy viewing John’s most recent Waste of a River collection.”
