Amount of Hours: a minimum of one hour and a maximum of six hours per month Location: Based in a library – location to be agreed with the volunteer :• help to promote the library service in the community. This might include delivering posters/leaflets in local areas
• use local knowledge to assist the manager to link to local groups, schools, and other organisations • to support in the promotion of the library as a local community resource. This might include assisting library staff at outreach events to hand out information and talk to members of the public

Job Title: Children’s Events Volunteer
Amount of Hours: Minimum 2 hours/week
Location: Various libraries
Description of role: This is a great opportunity to gain experience in working with children in an informal learning environment. The volunteer will support Libraries NI staff in delivering activities to children in libraries, complementing the regular programmes already delivered to children. This may include supporting the new Big Summer Read.
