Sloanes Local History Group
Group Update:
After many years of research thanks to Heritage Lottery Funding, we published our book 'Killyleagh Remembers the Great War' and we would like to thank the community for their assistance.

Every second Friday of the month

Our strategic objectives are to promote local history in the Killyleagh and Shrigley area, to gather information pertaining to the area and to create a catalogued archive which the community can access free of charge, to raise awareness of Killyleagh’s rich heritage by holding local history talks, walks, exhibitions and to create a forum by holding regular monthly meetings where everyone feels welcome.  Current project - Killyleagh War Memorial - appeal for information to commemorate people who served in WWI. We hope to have our work published if you can assist please come to our next meeting.
