Irish Dancing: The Festival Story - A Talk by Angeline King
Author Angeline King will discuss her fascinating journey of discovery which resulted in her new book 'Irish Dancing: The Festival Story'.

The first Irish folk dancing festival was held in Larne in 1928 and from then onwards the festival tradition has played a significant part in Ulster's culture.

Angeline will illustrate how the festival movement helped to foster good community relations and her wide use of historical material will illustrate the important role of the festival in the lives of the dancers, their teachers and the unsung heroes who kept this community alive.
