 Customer Notice - Shantallow Library will be temporarily closed from 12 Dec 2018

 

Shantallow Library will close from Wednesday 12 December for approximately three months to facilitate essential maintenance works.

During this time, customers can visit nearby libraries operating as usual, including:

Derry Central Library, 35 Foyle Street, Derry, telephone: 028 7122 9990 

Creggan Library, 59 Central Drive, Derry, telephone 028 7126 6168

* Shantallow book requests can be collected in Derry Central​ Library.

During the library closure, items can be renewed online with your library membership card and PIN number, which is available from library staff, eBooks and eMagazines​ can also be borrowed through our online library.
As a library member, you can borrow items from and return to any public library across Northern Ireland.

The Guitar Club (CANCELLED)

* THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

This is a fortnightly club aimed at children from 10 years upwards to adulthood offering guidance and support to those wishing to learn the guitar.  Participants must bring their own instrument with them.   Guidance notes will be provided and a tutor will be on hand to offer assistance. ​

A group activity aimed at anyone who enjoys knitting, crochet, cross-stitch and other crafts. Share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills.  Bring whatever you are working on at the moment or start a new project.​

Go ON / Got IT - Basic Computer Classes
Go ON/Got IT is an exciting support/training programme for people who want to find out more about technology and computers in a relaxed environment and at their own pace. These computer courses are held in local libraries with experienced staff on hand to help. Go ON allows people to enhance their computer skills by offering help to do lots of everyday tasks on the computer.

Go ON/Got IT sessions are free but you must be a library member to participate. Library membership is free for everyone.
