BBC Community Life Television Appeal

Libraries NI is delighted to have taken part in the latest BBC Community Life television appeal with Vinny Hurrell.

Community Life provides an insight into the important services community organisations have to offer. It is a great opportunity for Libraries NI to showcase the fantastic free services available at the centre of the community and encourage members of the public to visit their nearest library.

Local author Stuart Neville acted as the Libraries NI ambassador with filming taking place over the past few months.

During filming, the BBC visited a Rhythm and Rhyme session in Lisburn Road Library, a Knit and Knatter group in Cregagh Library, spoke with Libraries NI Chief Executive Jim O’Hagan in Lisburn City Library and sat in on a NOW Group Belfast reading group.

Community Life aired on BBC One on Sunday 16 September but don’t worry if you missed it, watch the video here.
