Libraries NI announces Christmas Opening Hours

Libraries NI has announced Christmas Opening Hours across the network of libraries which will take effect from Saturday 22 December until Tuesday 1 January 2019.

Customers use libraries differently over the Christmas period and seasonal opening hours have been developed to take account of this.

All libraries will be closed from Monday 24 – Wednesday 26 December inclusive and on Tuesday 1 January.

There will be no mobile library service from Saturday 22 December until Saturday 1 January inclusive.

Most libraries will be closed on Saturday 22 December and also from Thursday 27 December until Monday 31 December inclusive however the following libraries will open during this period but will close at 5:00pm on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 December and at 4:00pm on Monday 31 December – Ballymena Central, Bangor Carnegie, Belfast Central, Carrickfergus, Coleraine, Derry Central, Dungannon, Enniskillen, Finaghy, Glengormley, Lisburn City, Lurgan, Newry City and Omagh.

The Out of Hours Service at Dungiven, Irvinestown, Lisnaskea, Maghera, Saintfield and Whitehead libraries will operate as normal other than Christmas Day.
