Libraries celebrate Community Relations and Cultural Awareness Week in September 2017

Community Relations and Cultural Awareness Week

Libraries NI has announced a programme of events to celebrate this year’s Community Relations and Cultural Awareness Week, taking place from 18 - 24 September.

The theme for this year’s week is ‘Safe space, shared place’ with libraries being perfectly placed to take part in this week’s celebrations as welcoming and neutral venues which are open to everyone.

Libraries NI has worked with several partner organisations to offer this diverse and busy programme

During the week, call into a library near you to enjoy events ranging from author talks, drama and music performances, art and craft, photography and historical exhibitions, storytelling events, heritage talks, digital film presentations, a Drag Queen Storytime for children, a W5 Science Magic Show, Irish dancing and Irish language and Ulster-Scots events, and much more.

For details of all library events, check out the Libraries NI website www.librariesni.org.uk or Facebook page www.facebook.com/LibrariesNorthernIreland
