Plantations in Ulster 1600-41 Exhibition at Ballyhackamore Library 

This exhibition is available to view at Ballyhackamore Library in the months of July and August (2019) during normal opening hours. It has has been produced using documents from Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI), the Historical Environment Division within the Department for Communities and other repositories. It explores many aspects of the plantations which transformed Ulster in the early years of the seventeenth century.

This exhibition is intended to illustrate the origins and progress of the plantations using original documents and the 11 panels cover various aspects of the plantation including Trade and markets, Everyday life, Churches and Schools, The Planters, The native Irish, Derry~Londonderry and the London companies.
