Shantallow Library reopens its doors to the public on Monday 20 May following the completion of essential maintenance works carried out on the building’s roof.
Shantallow Library provides a vital service within the local community, all regular activities will start back immediately with Rhythm & Rhyme on Tuesday 21 May at 10:30am, Knit and Natter every Monday and Thursday at 2:00pm and Tea and Newspapers every Monday at 11:00am. Library members can borrow books, audio books, eBooks and eMagazines all free of charge as well as enjoying use of free Wi-Fi and computers.
Marie-Elaine Tierney, Shantallow Branch Library Manager, comments:
“We are delighted to reopen Shantallow Library following the recent essential maintenance works and repaint which has made the library brighter and more attractive. Thank you to all our customers for their patience while the work was ongoing. I am looking forward to welcoming everyone back and hope many people will call in to join the library and see what services are available.”
It is free to become a new member, simply call into the branch bringing along a means of identification (which includes a home address) or sign up online.
