COVID-19 / Service Updates Make the Move for eMagazines From the 1 April our eMagazine service will be available through the Libby App. This is our current app for eBooks and Audiobooks. Please note that the eNewspapers will remain on RB Digital until Tuesday 18 May. Click here for more information. Spring Bank Holiday, Monday 31 MayAll libraries will be closed on Monday 31 May for the Bank Holiday. You can continue to use our online eServices on this date including the Libby App. Update Notice:From 8 March onwards customers will be able to access IT and print at all public libraries. In order to maintain social distancing, there will be controls on the number of people allowed in libraries at any one time and customers will be asked to limit computer use to 60 minutes initially. Toilet facilities will remain closed and customers must wear face masks when they are in the library building unless exempt.Libraries NI is continuing to provide access to the Book and Collect Service and eBooks, audiobooks, eMagazines and eNewspapers through online platforms. The operational hours for Book and Collect in each branch are available on branch library pages here. Please note that due to ongoing COVID restrictions there is currently NO access to browsing.eNewspapersA publishing decision has resulted in the removal of some titles from our eNewspaper service. This includes the Belfast Telegraph. We apologise to our customers for the inconvenience this will cause. We hope to have a service update very soon. Stock RequestsPlease note we are currently not able to take requests for items that are not in stock. When this situation changes we will advise accordingly. We also apologise for any inconvenience caused by the following notices:- Due to COVID-19, all mobile library services have stopped.- Ballynahinch Library will be closed from Monday 17 May until Friday 21 May 2021 inclusive for essential maintenance works.- The IT equipment at Crumlin Library is only available from 2:00pm - 4:00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. - Ballymena Central Library will close temporarily at 4:00pm on Saturday 6 February for essential maintenance and the library will remain closed until the summer. From Monday 15 February, a Book and Collect service will operate from Libraries NI Regional Administration Centre 25-31 Demesne Avenue, Ballymena, BT43 7BG. t: 028 2563 3950. This service will operate Monday to Saturday, from 10.00am – 1.00pm and 2.00pm – 4.00pm each day during the closure. To support this service, we will also be offering additional opening hours in local libraries from Monday 15 February for book returns and Book and Collect. More information- Newcastle Library is temporarily closed from Monday 25 January for essential building work. You can visit nearby libraries to avail of their Book and Collect service, including Castlewellan Library and Downpatrick Library- Portstewart Library is temporarily closed due to unforeseen circumstances. Please use either Portrush Library or Coleraine Library. - The Irish and Local Studies Library, Armagh, is currently closed.
