Will Sliney who will be hosting a free comic drawing class event

Libraries NI is delighted to announce a Comic Drawing Class with Will Sliney: Artist to Marvel's Spider-Man and Star Wars taking place via Zoom on 27 January at 6:00pm. This event is primarily aimed at adults. Children are welcome to join as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

Will Sliney is an award winning comic book artist, writer and presenter who has worked on titles such as Spider-Man, Star Wars, Defenders, Celtic Warrior (Ireland's bestselling comic book) and many more, including over 100 issues for Marvel comics. 

During this 90 minute workshop, he will take participants through various drawing techniques, a live drawing and demo and will answer any questions the audience may have during a Question and Answer session.

About Will Sliney: Will presented We Will Draw for RTE's Homeschool hub, created and presents Draw with Will on Sky and Will Sliney's Storytellers on RTE.  He also launched the viral art movement #wewilldraw and presents Marvel Live's How to Draw show including launching Marvel's Twitch Channel. He works for the Premier League and is an ambassador for the Cork University Hospital Children's Unit.

Libraries NI is delighted to announce that Portstewart Library is beginning the New Year by reopening its doors in a recently renovated new location. Portstewart Library reopened at 10:00am on Tuesday 11 January 2022 to welcome all members of the local community into a bright, modern space from its new Station Road address.
