Local Poets Launch Books in Derry Central Library Ahead of World Poetry Day

Libraries NI is delighted to welcome local poets James King and Nina Quigley to Derry Central Library on Monday 20 March at 6:00pm, for a launch of their latest books, ‘Ticlish All Sorts’ and ‘Melancholia’.
James King, author of ‘Ticlish All Sorts’, grew up in Larne, Co. Antrim and, since retiring from his post as Lecturer in Theatre Studies at the University of Ulster, he has developed his career as a performance artist and sound poet. ‘Ticlish All Sorts’ is the fourth in a series of books of poetry and drawings he has self-published.
Nina Quigley, author of ‘Melancholia’, lives in Inishowen and is a poet and visual performance artist. ‘Melancholia’, is her second poetry collection and is published by Three Dancing Oaks Publishing. The collection features poems that have been published widely including award winning poems and experimental poetic fiction in a new voice.
