Rhythm and Rhyme

Most public libraries across Northern Ireland host regular Rhythm and Rhyme sessions for babies, toddlers and pre-school children.

Parents and carers are invited to bring their babies and toddlers along to enjoy stories, songs and rhymes.

These sessions are free and last around 30 minutes.

Rhythm and Rhyme gives adults and children time to have fun together and the session is led by a member of library staff.

Rhythm and Rhyme has been specially created and developed by Libraries NI:

  • for your child’s enjoyment

  • to develop language skills

  • to improve concentration

  • to enhance listening skills

  • to expand social skills.
