Retired headmaster Shaun Martin will discuss the inspiration for his first novel set in 1940s Northern Ireland including romance, wartime experiences and railway yarns.

This event will appeal to our sense of nostalgia as well as the topic of forgotten Ulster railways.

‘Researching early Ulster ancestors’ by Dr. William Roulston of the Ulster Historical Foundation
Four presentations:
- 10 January
- 17 January
- 24 January
- 31 January

Dr. William Roulston, a director of the Ulster Historical Foundation and author of ‘Researching Scots-Irish ancestors’will deliver 4 weekly presentations on researching early Ulster ancestors. These presentations will be of interest to genealogists who have hit a ‘brick wall’ in their research as Dr. Roulston will deal with early records from 17th and 18th centuries.
