Adult Reading Group  
First Monday of every month beginning Monday 04 September 2023 from 11:00am – 12:00pm.
 
This group aims to allow everyone’s reading experiences to be shared and enjoyed. Participants don’t have to be library members but if you join, you can borrow the book the group will be discussing for free.

Lego Club  
Every Monday from 3:15pm to 4:15pm.
 
For children aged 5 - 10 years. All children must be accompanied by a parent/carer.
Come along to have some Lego building fun. Fun and creative ideas for things to make and build.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Tuesday from 10:30am to 11:00am.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Knit and Natter  
Weekly every Tuesday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Irish Language Conversation  
Ballycastle Library invites you to come along and join our weekly Irish Language Conversation group which takes place every Thursday from 2:00pm – 3:00pm.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.
 
Every Friday from 2:15pm - 4:30pm.

Chatterbooks Junior Reading Group  
To be held monthly on a Saturday 12 (specific dates, please contact the library) from 11:00am to 12 noon.

Booking is essential.

Chatterbooks is an exciting Junior Reading Group where children aged 7 - 11 years can come along to chat about their favourite books, enjoy fun activities and crafts and meet new friends.

Chat and Chapters Befriending Service  

PIPS Suicide Prevention Charity is teaming up with Libraries NI to expand befriending services across Northern Ireland through an exciting new initiative called Chat & Chapters. This collaboration signifies a major step forward in our mission to provide vital support to those in need throughout our communities.

Chat & Chapters will take place in selected libraries across Northern Ireland where individuals can engage in supportive discussions and connect with others in a safe and welcoming environment.

 

Everyone is welcome to our weekly session on a Friday from 11:00am - 12:00noon.

Rathlin Sound Maritime Festival Storytime and Craft Special  

Ballycastle Library is delighted to hold a special themed Storytime and Craft event for children aged 4-8 to celebrate the start of the 2024 Rathlin Sound Maritime Festival.
