Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Storytime sessions help children develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff every Friday as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors. Suitable for children up to age 5; children under 8 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Every Thursday 10.30am - 11.30am - Join us for some Duplo free play in the library. Suitable for children aged 1-4. 

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Every Thursday from 3:00pm - 4:00pm - Join us for a cup of tea/coffee and relax while completing puzzles including crosswords and Sudoku.

Come along to our new junior reading group for children aged 8 - 11 years who are interested in comics and graphic novels. The group will meet on the second Saturday of each month 11:00am  - 11.30am beginning on 14 March 2026. Please contact the branch to sign up and pick up the reading material for that month's group.

RNID will be available in Lisnaskea Library to provide support with:

• Replacement hearing aid batteries for NHS hearing aids;

• How to do a hearing check – for those with undiagnosed hearing loss;

• Information on managing hearing loss and tinnitus; and/or

Join us in Lisnaskea Library to help the Story Tree grow at the launch of the Big Summer Read 2026! We need help with the roots of the tree – visit us during library opening hours to complete a leaf with books that you have read and/or your favourite book which we will then add to the tree. Pick up your free reading tree chart and complete a fruit challenge by designing a book cover – we will have lots of ideas to inspire you!

Join illustrator Clive McFarland for a reading of his picture book ‘Standing On One Leg is Hard’, discover fun animal facts, and learn how to draw your very own heron chick!
 

‘Standing On One Leg is Hard’ tells the story of a little heron chick who is trying HARD to be like the grown-up herons who stand so gracefully on one leg. But she just CAN'T do it! Maybe she just needs a little help?  
 

Clive McFarland was raised in Omagh, Co Tyrone and graduated from the Liverpool School of Art and Design. He is an author and illustrator of several other picture books, including A Bed for Bear, Caterpillar Dreams and The Fox and the Wild.
