PIPS Befriender Service – Mental Health Support  

Weekly every Friday morning between 10:00am – 11:30am.

Working in partnership with PIPS Suicide Prevention Charity, Coleraine Library is delighted to host a weekly drop in service with a PIPS Befriender present in the library to speak with between 10:00m – 11:30am for anyone who wishes to avail of immediate support. 

 

No booking required and everyone welcome to drop in during this time.

After School Storytime  

Weekly every Wednesday afternoon between 3:30pm – 4:00pm.

 

Are you aged 4 – 8 years and ready for a mid-week treat? Then join us after school for our fun filled weekly Storytime, where our friendly staff will read a selection of tales and stories for all to enjoy.

Knit and Natter  
Every Monday from 10:30am to 11:30am.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Booking is not required.

Every Tuesday from 11:30am to 12 noon.
Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.
Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Tea and Newspapers  
Every Wednesday from 10:00am to 12 noon.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Adult Reading Club  
First Friday of every month from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.

This group aims to allow everyone’s reading experiences to be shared and enjoyed. Participants don’t have to be library members but if you join, you can borrow the book the group will be discussing for free.

Lego Club  
Every Saturday from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
Booking is essential.
 
For children aged 5 - 10 years. All children must be accompanied by a parent/carer.
Come along to have some lego building fun. Fun and creative ideas for things to make and build.

Give it a Go' Kith and Kin Financial Wellbeing - Women and Money Information Session  

As part of 'Give it a Go Week' Coleraine Library is delighted to welcome the team from Kith and Kin Financial Wellbeing to deliver a group session that covers topics around finances tailored specifically to support women including female pension inequality, returning to work, motherhood and much more.

 

Everyone Welcome. 12:00pm - 1:00pm.

Safer Internet Day - Digital Helpdesk Hour  

As part of Safer Internet Day 2025, Coleraine Library invites you to drop in to our Digital Helpdesk Hour, where the Causeway Coast and Glens District Officer will be offering assistance on the basics of how to stay safe online.

Give it a Go - Northern Regional College - Innovate Us Information Session  

As part of 'Give it a Go Week', Coleraine Library is delighted to welcome Northern Regional College (NRC) to host an information session on the  'Innovate Us' programme. The Innovate Us programme provides fully-funded mentoring to small businesses. If your company has fewer than 50 employees, you could be entitled to up to 60 hours of training or mentoring from Northern Regional College specialists which could turn your ideas into reality. This could lead to new contracts, value creation, increased sales, staff retention and job creation.

Cupid's Arrow - Children's Stories and Valentine's Day Card Making Craft  

Coleraine Library invites children aged 4-8 years to get into the Valentine's Day spirit and join our friendly Library Staff, who will be reading a selection of heart warming stories, then join as and get ready to give you Valentine a special gift with our Valentine's Day Card Making craft. 

 

For children aged 4-8 years accompanied by an adult. 

 

From 3:30pm - 4:30pm. Booking not required.
