Adult Reading Group  
Second Tuesday of every month from 2:00pm to 3:00pm.

This group aims to allow everyone’s reading experiences to be shared and enjoyed. Participants don’t have to be library members but if you join, you can borrow the book the group will be discussing for free.

Tea and Newspapers  
Every day from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
 
Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Friday from 10:30am to 11:00am.

Booking is essential, ring on Thursday morning to book a place.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Reminiscence Group  
First Tuesday of the month from 10:30am - 11:30am
 
This group meets on a monthly basis to discuss local history and share memories, with the aim of providing opportunities to reminisce. There are also guest speakers invited to some of the sessions to inspire discussion on a variety of reminiscence topics.

Lego Club  
First Tuesday of every month from 4:00pm – 5.30pm.

Booking is essential so please call in or ring up to book your spot.

These sessions give children the opportunity to have fun whilst using their imagination and creative skills to build amazing Lego creations based on various themes chosen by staff each month.

Knit and Natter  
Cookstown Library is delighted to launch a new Community Knit and Natter group on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
 
Why not come along for a cup of tea, a friendly chat in a relaxed and welcoming environment, and to avail of the chance to learn new skills!

Story, Tea and Chat  
Third Tuesday of every month, starting 16 January 2024. 
2:00pm - 3:00pm 
 
Cookstown Library warmly invites you to an adults shared reading session. A specially selected story will be read aloud and will be used to facilitate discussion, reminiscence and reflection.  
 
No preparation is required as the story will be read to the group on the day. 
Refreshments will be provided and everyone is welcome to attend. 
Booking is encouraged for this event.
