Chat and Chapters Befriending Service |
PIPS Suicide Prevention Charity is teaming up with Libraries NI to expand befriending services across Northern Ireland through an exciting new initiative called Chat & Chapters. This collaboration signifies a major step forward in our mission to provide vital support to those in need throughout our communities.

Tea and Newspapers |
Every day from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits. |

Knit and Natter |
Cookstown Library is delighted to launch a new Community Knit and Natter group on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00pm - 4:00pm. Why not come along for a cup of tea, a friendly chat in a relaxed and welcoming environment, and to avail of the chance to learn new skills! Everyone welcome. |

Rhythm and Rhyme |
Every Friday from 10:30am to 11:00am. Booking is essential, ring on Thursday morning to book a place. Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories. Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun! |

Reminiscence Group |
First Tuesday of the month from 10:30am - 11:30am This group meets on a monthly basis to discuss local history and share memories, with the aim of providing opportunities to reminisce. There are also guest speakers invited to some of the sessions to inspire discussion on a variety of reminiscence topics. |

Adult Reading Group |
Second Tuesday of every month from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. This group aims to allow everyone’s reading experiences to be shared and enjoyed. Participants don’t have to be library members but if you join, you can borrow the book the group will be discussing for free. |
