Dear Sir,
Just a few lines to let you know I arrived back again alright, there was no excitement crossing this time, but we had a rough passage & quite a few were sick including myself, it was my first experience of sea-sickness & I hope, the last, at any rate I got over it all after we landed in Fleetwood. I am feeling a little dissatisfied at present, I hear they are not going to send any more from here, overseas, I would like very much to get out just to see a bit of stir. By the look of things it won't be very long now until the war is over, the German prisoners here seem to be joyful enough, I was talking to one (on the sly of course), he was in Belfast in 1914 & was taken captive at Armentieres in 1915, he can speak English as well as me & he said "when the war is over no Germany for me" so he seems to know which place he is better off in. I have really nothing more to say just now, so I will close hoping this finds yourself & all the rest as usual.
Yours obediently,

R. Alexander

P.S. The "Flu" is gradually going away from here. How is it in Belfast just now.
