Summer at Libraries NI

This summer, your local library is the place to be for free fun and adventure! With school out, it's the perfect time for children to visit their local library, explore their creativity, and make new friends.

With this year’s Nine Books Nine Week Challenge running throughout July and August, our libraries are buzzing with free events designed to keep young people entertained, engaged, and excited about reading all summer long.

From regular themed Craft and Storytime sessions to engaging Lego workshops, there's plenty to discover. Plus, don't miss out on meeting Kubo the robot, who will be visiting several libraries to teach children the basics of coding through interactive games. Help Kubo get to school, play football, and explore the shops! Whether you're into crafting, building, or tech adventures, there's something for everyone!

Participating in our summer events is easy and completely free. Simply visit or contact your local library to find out more about what's happening and join in the fun. With a fantastic line-up of events, it's the perfect destination for children to learn, play, and grow this summer.
