My Darling

My Darling by Amanda Robson

So many things to say…Firstly if I could give this book more stars I would, secondly why has this book not got more star reviews, what is wrong with people! And thirdly I massively recommend this book to anyone that has a love of crime and twisty, thrilling plots.

I started this just before I went to sleep, bad idea yes! But I was only going to see what it was like to begin with and to be honest at first I wasn’t sure I liked it as each page was an actual chapter and was told from each person in the book, Jade, Emma or Alistair. It jumped so quickly onto the next person that I didn’t know if I was really getting into the plot properly or what was going on. Fast forward 3 hours and it was half 3 in the morning and I was still reading. Every page I turned I just wanted to keep turning and finding out what was going to happen next. It was so fast paced and totally thrilling.

Jade is convinced that her husband Tomas is having an affair with their new next door neighbour Emma, even though they’ve literally only just moved in. Emma lives alone, but has a partner Alistair. Jade has mental health issues that make her paranoid and delusional and so she cannot be appeased. What follows is an emotional rollercoaster, where you actually have no idea who the twisted one is, who is the dangerous one!

I have to say that I had my favourite person, even though at times they were rather weak and pathetic, but I wanted them to stand up and fight back and triumph in the end. So I was very pleased with the end outcome.
