Storytime  
Every Wednesday from 2:30pm to 3:00pm.

Booking is essential.

Storytime sessions help children aged 4 - 8 years develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors.

Tea and Newspapers  
Every Thursday from 10:00am to 11:00am.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Lego Club  
Every Thursday (no longer taking place on Saturdays) from 3:00pm - 4:15pm.
 
For children aged 6-12 years of age; children aged 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Catch-up Club  

Antrim Library will be hosting the “Catch-up Club” every Friday.  Come along as a group or individually, and meet likeminded people for a chat, a cuppa, and a few giggles.

Knit and Natter  
Every Friday from 2:00pm to 3:30pm.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Tour of the Nights Sky  

Embark on an awe-inspiring journey through the cosmos with our “Tour of the Night Sky” workshop. Step into a 6m inflatable planetarium and explore the mysteries of constellations and asterisms.  

Engaging and educational, this immersive experience ignites curiosity about the wonders above, making learning a stellar adventure for students. Perfect for Primary School Students. There are two 50 Minute Sessions available: Session 1- 2:30pm. Session 2- 3:30pm. Please contact the library to book a space.

Stay Strong, Stay Steady - Day 1  

This course will cover a range of yoga and Pilates moves which will enable participants
how to: Identify and engage core muscles to encourage people to support their spine and improve stability; perform exercises to strengthen upper body, lower body, and core; execute movements that improve balance and coordination and effective daily; movement routines. 

The course is open to those working in the Northern Health & Social Care Trust locality in a role where they can deliver group-based physical activity.

Cats Protection Drop In  

Since 1927 Cats Protection has helped home 1.5 million kittens and cats to new owners and champions the rights of countless others. To find out more about the charity, the support they offer, volunteering opportunities, or the felines currently in need of a home, why not come along to Antrim Library and chat with the Cats Protection team.

Walk Leader Training  

This training is aimed at anyone interested in leading short health walks within the Northern Trust Area either as a volunteer or through their work role.  The course covers health benefits of walking, physical activity recommendations, organising safe and enjoyable walks for people of all ages and abilities and motivating people to start and continue walking.
