Customer Notices

Antrim Library will close at the earlier time of 4:30pm (instead of 5:00pm) on Saturday 25 June and Saturday 9 July.

Antrim Library will open at the later time of 11:30am on Monday 4 July in order to facilitate an IT upgrade in the morning. Alternative libraries include Glengormley. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Storytime  
Every Wednesday from 2:30pm to 3:00pm.

Booking is essential.

Storytime sessions help children aged 4 - 8 years develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors.

Tea and Newspapers  
Every Thursday from 10:00am to 11:00am.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Knit and Natter  
Every Friday from 2:00pm to 3:30pm.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Monday from 10:30am to 11:00am.

Booking is essential, bookings for Rhythm and Rhyme will be taken on the Friday and Saturday prior to the event.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Junior Reading Group  
First Monday of every month from 3:30pm to 4:00pm.

Booking is essential.

Junior Reading Groups are a fun way for children to be introduced to a wide range of new books, authors and to make new friends along the way. Members are asked to read a chosen book before each meeting, which will be available to borrow for free from the library catalogue.

Adult Reading Group  
The group meets on the first Tuesday of every month.

This group aims to allow everyone’s reading experiences to be shared and enjoyed. Participants don’t have to be library members but if you join, you can borrow the book the group will be discussing for free.

Creative Writing Group  
Group meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month.
