Adult Reading Group  
Third Friday of every month from 11:00am to 12 noon.

Booking is essential.

This group aims to allow everyone’s reading experiences to be shared and enjoyed. Participants don’t have to be library members but if you join, you can borrow the book the group will be discussing for free.

Christmas Kindness Post-box  
Join the community on gathering cards, stories, drawings, etc for the local people this Christmas. Drop in your donation at one of our Kindness Post-boxes in Ballyclare Library.

Every Wednesday from 10:00am to 10:30am.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Lego Club  
Every Thursday from 3:15pm - 4:00pm.
 
For children aged 6 years and over; children aged 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Tea and Newspapers  
Every Friday from 10:00am to 12 noon.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Ballyclare Scribblers  
Every Tuesday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm.

Are you a budding writer or poet? Come along to our new group and meet like-minded people and share ideas. Whether it is your first attempt or you are a seasoned writer you will be prompted by new ideas each week. Use this time out to take a well-deserved break from your day; to escape and relax the mind.

Knit and Natter  
Every Tuesday from 2:30pm to 4:00pm.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Ballyeaston Project Talk with Family History and DNA expert  
Come along to Ballyclare Library to hear a talk delivered by Martin Mc Dowell from North of Ireland Family History Society on their local Ballyeaston project.
 
Mr McDowell is a local historian and the leading specialist in tracing family through DNA testing.
 
If you love hearing about local history, the stories of people that made up our community, and how to trace family roots, be sure to attend this amazing event.
