📢 CUSTOMER NOTICE - Bank Holiday Closure 📢

All public libraries in Northern Ireland will be closed on the Spring Bank Holiday, Monday 26 May and Mobile Libraries will not be on the road on that date. The Out of Hours Service will remain available on 26 May in appropriate libraries. Remember that members have free access to eServices during this period. Register to become a Member.

Knit and Natter  

A group for anyone who enjoys knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. Share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Bring whatever you are working on at the moment or start a new project.

 

Every Tuesday from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.

Rhythm and Rhyme (Wednesdays and Fridays)  
Every Wednesday and Friday from 10:30am to 11:00am.
 
Booking is essential.
Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.
 
Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Mindful Colouring  
Every Thursday from 11:00am to 12 noon.

Mindful Colouring groups are for anyone who wants to explore the world of adult colouring with intricate colouring patterns and designs. They can enhance well-being, help calm the mind and relieve stress through relaxed, meditative colouring in.

Tea and Newspapers  
Every Friday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Storytime  
Weekly, every Monday from 3:30pm to 4:00pm. Suitable for ages 4-8 years.
 
Storytime sessions help children develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors.

Chill and Brew Tea Afternoon  

To celebrate International Tea Day, Ballymoney Library invites you to an afternoon of tea and fun, where you can chill, brew and chat about all things tea.  

 

Biscuits may also even make an appearance. Everyone welcome from 3:00pm-4:00pm.

Elmer Day - Children's Fun Afternoon  

To celebrate Elmer Day, Ballymoney Library invites children aged 3-10 Years to take part in a fun filled afternoon which include a number of crafts, stories, scavenger hunts and lots more fun.

Adult Reading Group  
Last Wednesday of the month from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
 
Adult Reading Groups are a great opportunity for members to join in some lively literary discussions in a relaxed, friendly environment. The groups encourage people to read for pleasure, share their enthusiasm and express opinions about books and their authors.
The group meets on a regular basis and the book the group will be discussing can be borrowed from the library catalogue for free.

Surestart Storytime and Information Session  

As part of our Empathy Festival celebrations, Ballymoney Library in partnership with Surestart invites you to come along to a themed Storytime for all to enjoy.  Surestart will also be available afterwards to share information with adults in attendance. 

 

From 11:00am - 11:30am on Friday 6 June and Wednesday 25 June.

Kindness Bingo Story Session  

Ballymoney Library invites children aged 4-10 years to come along and help us take part in this year's Empathy Festival. Come and take part in our kindness bingo game and connect with friends and family and afterwards enjoy some heart-warming stories to make you feel good about yourself.

Refugee Awareness Week - Human Library Project  

To support Refugee Awareness Week and in partnership with Northern Health and Social Care Trust, as part of the Causeway Loneliness Network, Ballymoney Library invites you to attend the Human Library Project. 

 

The Human Library is a way for people to reach out and connect with individuals in their community that they might not normally engage with. Human libraries promote tolerance, celebrate differences and encourage understanding of people who come from varied cultural or lifestyle backgrounds.

 

Everyone welcome from 2:30pm - 3:30pm.
