📢 CUSTOMER NOTICE - Bank Holidays Closure 📢

All public libraries in Northern Ireland will be closed on May Day, Monday 5 May and on the Spring Bank Holiday, Monday 26 May and Mobile Libraries will not be on the road on those dates. The Out of Hours Service will remain available on 5 May and 26 May in appropriate libraries. Remember that members have free access to eServices during this period. Register to become a Member.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Monday from 10:30am - 11:00am.
 
Rhythm and Rhyme is an exciting free programme to introduce children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories in the library. Rhythm and Rhyme is a great opportunity for children to have fun and learn in a relaxed venue while giving parents and carers the chance to socialise.

Duplo Club  
Come and create something fantastic at our Duplo Club. We work on a different theme every week.
 
For children aged 4 years and under accompanied by an adult.

Homework Hub  

Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at 2:00pm. Finishing at 4:00pm on a Monday and 5:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

 

Join our Homework Hub where you will be able to complete your homework in the company of your friends. We will provide information books and computer access to help make homework fun and easy.

Knit and Natter  
Every Tuesday from 10:30am to 12 noon.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Lego Club  
Every Tuesday from 3:30pm - 4:15pm

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week at our Great Big Purple Picnic! Don your favorite shade of purple and join us for a festive morning filled with purple sweet treats and drinks. This relaxed, face-to-face gathering encourages you to connect with others and share in the spirit of community.

Hey bros—it's time to kick back and unwind! Join us for an evening of hearty laughter, refreshing brews, and exciting board games as we mark Mental Health Awareness Week. This casual, in-person hangout is the perfect opportunity to relax, bond, and enjoy some friendly competition with fellow board game enthusiasts.

The Big Family Switch Off  

Take a break from digital devices and spend quality time with your loved ones at our Big Family Switch Off! Hosted at Greenisland Library during Mental Health Awareness Week, this event invites families to engage in face-to-face conversation over tea, coffee, and refreshments. 

 

Enjoy a range of activities—whether you're playing board games, chatting with staff and neighbours, or indulging in some mindful colouring. There’s no need to book in advance, so just drop in and disconnect to reconnect!

Mindfulness Storytime  

Join us for a calming and captivating Mindfulness Storytime designed for children and centred around the theme of “community”. Held as part of Mental Health Awareness Week at Greenisland Library, this interactive Storytime will help young minds slow down and embrace mindfulness through engaging tales and gentle activities.
