CUSTOMER NOTICE - Bank Holiday Closure

All public libraries in Northern Ireland will be closed on Monday 25 May and Mobile Libraries will not be on the road. The Out of Hours Service will be available in applicable libraries.

Every Saturday 11:00 am to 12 noon.
 
For children age 4 years and up.  All children must be accompanied by a parent/carer.
 
Come along to have some Lego building fun.  Fun and creative ideas for things to make and build.

Tea and Newspapers  

We hold tea and newspapers as follows:


Tuesdays 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Wednesdays 10:30am – 1:00pm
Thursdays 10:30am – 1:00pm and 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Saturdays 10:30am – 1:00pm and 2:00pm – 4:00pm
 

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Children’s Board Games  

Every Tuesday from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.

Come play, connect, and discover a new way to enjoy your library!

Board games help build teamwork problem-solving skills, and creativity – all while having a great time!
Free to attend. All are welcome.

Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Wednesday from 10:30am to 11:00am.
 
Booking is essential as places are limited. You must ring after 4:00pm on a Tuesday to book your place.
 
Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Knit and Natter  
Every Wednesday from 11:30am to 12:30pm.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Mindful Colouring/Cryptic Corner  
Weekly on a Thursday from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
 
Enhance your well-being and calm the mind through relaxed meditative colouring and puzzles. A gentle way to reduce stress using intricate colouring patterns and designs and solving puzzles.

Empathy Day Festival 2026 "Step into my story" Board.  

Join us for a special empathy day event to help see the world through someone else's eyes.
Drop in and explore a series of short, child-friendly scenarios that invite you to step into someone else's story. 
Through simple activities, reflection, and conversation children will think about how others feel, what they might need, and how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Children aged 5-10 years; children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

NIPSO Drop-In Advise Session - Your Rights with Public services.  

Have you been treated unfairly or had a poor experience with a public service? The Northern Ireland Public services ombudsman (NIPSO) Engagement Team is here to help. Drop in to speak confidentially with the team about concerns relating to services such as schools, local councils, or health and social care. NIPSO investigates complaints and works to put things right. This free session offers an opportunity to learn more about your rights and how public services can be improved.

Big Summer Read 2026 - Dungeons and Dragons - One Shot!  

Adventurers wanted for role playing! Come on to the library and try your hand at being a paladin, sorcerer or rogue in this beginner friendly Dungeons and Dragons one-shot adventure. Work together, solve problems and explore a fantasy world in a fun guided session.

Big Summer Read 2026 - Plant a Poem, Sow a story.  

Make up your own poem or story and write it on seed paper, then rip it up and plant it in soil, give it water, love, and sun. Soon wildflowers will start to grow.
