Customer Notice

Portrush Library will close at the earlier time of 5:00pm on Tuesday 30 July. Alternative libraries include Ballymoney. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Portrush Library will close at the earlier time of 1:00pm on Friday 26 July. Alternative libraries include Coleraine and Ballycastle.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Monday from 10:45am to 11:15am.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Knit and Natter  
Every Tuesday from 6:00pm to 7:15pm.

Booking is essential.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Tea and Newspapers  
Every Wednesday from 11:00am to 1:00pm

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Lego Club (on Fridays)  
Every Friday from 2.30pm – 3.30pm.  Booking is not required.
 
For children aged 5-10, all children attending this event must be accompanied by an adult.

Come along to have some lego building fun.

Sewing Club  
Everyone is welcome to come to the our weekly Sewing Club and are invited to bring along their own sewing project.  Meet like minded people and have fun sharing ideas.
 
Refreshments will be provided.

Lego Club (on Saturdays)  
Every Saturday from 11:30am – 12:30pm.
 
Booking is not required. For children aged 5-10, all children attending this event must be accompanied by an adult.
Come along to have some Lego building fun. Fun and creative ideas for things to make and build.

Adult Reading Group  
First Wednesday of every month from 10:30am to 11:30am. 
 
This group aims to allow everyone’s reading experiences to be shared and enjoyed. Participants don’t have to be library members but if you join, you can borrow the book the group will be discussing for free. Booking is essential.

Gardening Club  

Portrush Library invites you to come along to our fortnightly Gardening Club, beginning Friday 07 June, to learn, share and discuss all things gardening.

Everyone welcome and booking not required.

Ready, Steady, Colour! Museum Services Colour the Collections Challenge  

In partnership with Causeway Museum Services, are you ready to accept the Museum Services Colouring Challenge? For children aged 3 – 11 years old, your challenge is to select at least 10 images from the ‘Colour the Collections’ series. For every image you colour, your local library or Museum will stamp your challenge card. Complete 10 images to collect 10 stamps and then bring your stamped challenge card back to your local library or Museum to win your certificate.

The Reading Vacation - Summer Reads Book Display  

What does every summer vacation need? A good book and at Portrush Library, we invite you to come along and view our book display off selected summer reads. Browse the selection and select your desired book off choice, getting ready to take a trip of reading and enjoyment.
