| Junior Reading Group |
First Tuesday of every month between 3:30pm – 4:15pm.
For children aged 7-9 years, come and join our monthly Junior Reading Group. This group is a fun way for children to be introduced to a wide range of new books, authors and to make new friends along the way. Members are asked to read a chosen book before each meeting, which will be available to borrow for free from the library catalogue.

| Tea and Newspapers |
Every Wednesday from 11:00am to 1:00pm Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits. |

| Adult Reading Group |
First Wednesday of every month from 3:00pm – 4:00pm
This group aims to allow everyone’s reading experiences to be shared and enjoyed. Participants don’t have to be library members but if you join, you can borrow the book the group will be discussing for free.

| Rhythm and Rhyme |
Every Monday from 10:45am to 11:15am. Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories. Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun! |

| Art Exhibition by Rhonda Young |
Portrush Library proudly presents ‘That’s Why They Call It The Blues', an art exhibition by local artist, Rhonda Young. Rhonda grew up inspired by her dad, who once illustrated for a Navy magazine - a creative spark that shaped her path. This exhibition captures the colour, movement and wild rhythm of the North Coast, from bold crashing waves to soft, layered seascapes with a touch of figurative work woven in. Booking not required. |

| Art Exhibition by Alice Rohdich |
Portrush Library proudly presents ‘Little Alice', an art exhibition by local artist, author and illustrator, Alice Rohdich. Alice returned to study fine art twelve years ago and since then has illustrated two beautiful books, ‘Dee the Little Lifeboat’ and ‘Dee Cleans the Sea’. She has also created the artwork for the mural adorning the gable wall at Portrush Yacht Club, featuring characters from the books. Her latest work involves the writing and illustration of her own, first book, ‘Little Alice in Lisnahanna’, which is a nostalgic look at rural childhood with stories and drawings of hayfields, wildflowers and happiness. As part of SWELL Festival and in partnership with Building Community Resources Centre (BCRC), Portrush Library is delighted to welcome four Cultural Ambassadors from BCRC to host a Human Library Workshop.
