Every Friday from 11:00am to 12 noon.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Lego Club  
Every Friday from 3:30pm - 4:30pm.

Use your imagination to create and build your favourite characters and scenes from your favourite books. 
For children aged 6 years and over; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Knit and Natter  
Every Tuesday from 1:30pm to 2:30pm.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Wednesday from 11:00am to 11:25am.

Booking is essential.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Walking Group, Let's Go Walking  
Every Wednesday from 2:15pm to 3:15pm.

Booking is essential.

A gentle, socially-distanced walk, connecting with others and enjoying fresh air, nature and companionship.

Adult Reading Group  
Last Wednesday of the month from 3.30pm to 4:30pm.
 
Booking is essential.
 
Adult Reading Groups are a great opportunity for members to join in some lively literary discussions in a relaxed, friendly environment. The groups encourage people to read for pleasure, share their enthusiasm and express opinions about books and their authors.

The group meets on a regular basis and the book the group will be discussing can be borrowed from the library catalogue for free.

Gardening Club  
Randalstown Library Gardening Club where we share our gardening experience, triumphs or reverses and learn about all things gardening.
Come for a chat over a cuppa - meeting on the last Friday of the month 3.30pm - 4.30pm.

Junior Reading Group  
Last Saturday of the month from 11:15 - 12noon.
 
Junior Reading Groups are a great way for young people aged 9-11 to explore a wide range of new books, authors and to make new friends along the way. Members are asked to read a chosen book before each meeting, which will be available to borrow for free from the library catalogue.

Save the Bees Workshop.  

Help us celebrate Go Green with Libraries NI Month! Use our craft resources to decorate your own very own flowerpot before planting special seed paper to grow your own colourful wildflowers. These flowers will give bees and other pollinators much needed food reserves before the winter months! Booking essential.
Children under 8 must be supervised by a parent or guardian.

Join us for a welcoming morning of tea, coffee, friendship and chat while supporting a great cause. Enjoy good company and help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Book Week NI 2026 - Storytelling with Mabel Jenkins  

Mabel Jenkins will be joining us for a special adult storytelling session in Randalstown Library. 


As a former tour guide at the Folk Museum in Cultra, Mabel has a wealth of knowledge about folklore and country ways of the past. Expect memories and stories of times gone by with some folklore thrown in for good measure.
