📢 CUSTOMER NOTICE: LIBRARIES WILL TEMPORARILY CLOSE DUE TO WEATHER WARNING ðŸ“¢

Due to the yellow and amber Met Office weather warnings in place, all libraries will close from 3:00pm on the 3 October 2025. Some may close from earlier due to regional conditions.

At this stage, we hope that all libraries will reopen on the 4 October 2025 as normal but we would suggest calling your library before commencing your journey.

All mobile libraries will be off the road on the 3 October and Out of Hours Service will not be available from 3:00pm on the 3 October until normal library opening hours on Saturday Morning.

Knit and Natter  
Every Monday from 11:00am - 12:30pm.

Booking is essential.

Knit and Natter groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Wednesday from 10:30am - 11:00am.
Booking essential.
Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.
Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Tea and Newspapers  
Every Monday and Friday from 10:00am - 1:00pm.
 
Tea and Newspaper groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Mindful Activities  
Spend a relaxing hour with colouring and other mindful activities.

Mindful Colouring groups are for anyone who wants to explore the world of adult colouring with intricate colouring patterns and designs. They can enhance well-being, help calm the mind and relieve stress through relaxed, meditative colouring in.

Good Relations Week: Connect Drop In  

Call in to Comber Library and connect over a cuppa and cake and find out what services we offer for all members of the local community from toddlers to pensioners.

Haunted Half Term - Spooky Storytime and Craft  

Are you brave enough to join us in Comber Library for some spine shivering spookiness? We'll have an afternoon of haunting Halloween stories and creepy crafting fun.

 

For children aged 4-11 years, children aged 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
