Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Seed Social  

Garvagh Library invites you to come along to our monthly Seed Social Club to learn and share tips on seeds and gardening and to socialise with friends while enjoying a nice cuppa together.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Saturday from 10:00am to 10:30am.
 
Everyone welcome.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Duplo Club  

Every Saturday from 10:30am to 11:30am.

 

For children aged 1 – 6 years. All children must be accompanied by a parent/carer.
Come along to have some Duplo building fun. Fun and creative ideas for things to make and build.

Knit and Natter  
Every Tuesday from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
 
Everyone welcome.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Lego Club

Storytime  

Weekly, every Saturday from 2:30pm to 3.00pm. Suitable for ages 4-8 years; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Storytime sessions help children develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors.

Chatterbooks  

Chatterbooks is an exciting Junior Reading Group where children aged 9 - 11 years can come along to chat about their favourite books, enjoy fun activities and crafts and meet new friends.

Garvagh Library invites young florists aged 4-8 years old to celebrate May Day with our 'Spring Flowers' Craft. Make your own array of colourful flowers using our range of craft resources.

National Children's Day - 'Handy Spring Chicken' Craft  

Join us in Garvagh Library ahead of National Children's Day for this handy craft. Led by our lovely library staff, children aged 4-8 years, (children must be accompanied by an adult) will create their very own 'Spring Chicken'.

Garvagh Library invites you to take a little time out this Mental Health Awareness Week and drop in, enjoy a cup of tea and spend some time in conversation in the relaxed, welcoming space that is your local library.

Garvagh Library invites children aged 4-8 years old to join us for our Simple Mindful Origami craft this Mental Health Awareness Week. Led by our lovely library staff, you will create your very own animal simply by folding paper!

Elmer Day - 'Colourful Collage' Elmer Craft  

Hip hip hooray, it's Elmer Day! Children aged 4-8 years are invited to join us in Garvagh Library to celebrate our bright elephant friend with our Colourful Collage Elmer craft. Using our array of craft resources, you will create your very own Elmer with all his patchwork colours.
