Tea and Newspapers  

Every Monday from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
 

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Tuesday from 2:15pm to 2:45pm.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Adult Reading Group  

Occurs every 4 weeks on a Wednesday between 4:00pm – 5:00pm.

 

This group aims to allow everyone’s reading experiences to be shared and enjoyed. Participants don’t have to be library members but if you join, you can borrow the book the group will be discussing for free.

Knit and Natter  
Every Thursday from 10:30am to 12 noon.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Saturday Storytime  
Weekly, every Saturday from 1:30pm to 2.00pm. Suitable for ages 4-8 years; children must be accompanied by an adult.
 
Storytime sessions help children develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors.

Chatterbooks Junior Reading Group  

Last Tuesday of every month (please contact the library for specific dates) between 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

 

Booking is advisable.

 

Chatterbooks is an exciting Junior Reading Group where children aged 7 - 11 years can come along to chat about their favourite books, enjoy fun activities and crafts and meet new friends.

First Housing Advice Service - Outreach Clinic  

Limavady Library is delighted to welcome a representative from First Housing Advice Service to host an outreach clinic. First Housing Advice Service aims to provide housing advice to individuals or families at risk of homelessness or facing housing-related issues. Support is delivered through their outreach clinics in community venues, helping to ensure housing services are accessible to those in need.

Christmas Storytime and 'A Letter to Santa' Craft  

In celebration of the official Causeway Coast and Glens Council 'Limavady Christmas Light Switch On' event in the town, Limavady Library is inviting all children aged 4+ years to come along for an afternoon of Christmas themed stories and then lots of jolly fun with our 'Letter to Santa' craft. 

 

Join our friendly library staff, who will help you write and decorate your letter to Santa Claus, ready to take home and post to the North Pole to give plenty of time for Santa and his busy elves to get all your presents ready and loaded onto his sleigh. 

 

From 1:00pm - 2:00pm
