CUSTOMER NOTICE – July Holiday Closures 

All Libraries NI’s public libraries will be closed on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 July 2026. 

The Mobile Library service will be off the road from Monday 13 to Friday 17 July 2026 inclusive. 

The Out of Hours service will be closed from Saturday 11 to Tuesday 14 July 2026 (inclusive), reopening on Wednesday 15 July 2026 in Out of Hours libraries.

Please remember that eServices (eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eNewspapers) are available during this period, and joining online is free.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Wednesday from 10:30am to 11:00am.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Irish Conversation Group

Knit and Natter  
Every Thursday from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Adult Reading Group  
Second Thursday of every month from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.

This group aims to allow everyone’s reading experiences to be shared and enjoyed. Participants don’t have to be library members but if you join, you can borrow the book the group will be discussing for free.

Tea and Newspapers  
Every Thursday from 11:00am to 12 noon.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Save the Bees Craft Session  

Save the Bees. Help us celebrate Go Green with Libraries NI Month! Use our craft resources to decorate your very own flowerpot before planting special seed paper to grow your own colourful wildflowers. These flowers will give bees and other pollinators much needed food reserves before the winter months! Booking essential.

CPR and Publicly Available Defibrillators Awareness and Training  

Join us for this very useful session which covers the theory and practical aspect of CPR and the use of publicly available defibrillators. With the use of manikins and training defibs you will gain the life skills required to act in the event of a collapse, as 80% of all out of hospital cardiac arrests happen within the home these skills are vital.
