Events

Tea & Newspapers  
Daily from 10:30am until 11:30am.
 
Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Knit and Natter  
Every Tuesday from 10:30am to 12:30pm.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Thursday from 10:30am to 11:15am. Booking is not required.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Adult Reading Group  

Every 4 weeks on a Thursday from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.

 

This group aims to allow everyone’s reading experiences to be shared and enjoyed. Participants are encouraged to join the library and borrow a copy of the book that the group will be discussing at the next meeting.

Lego Club  
Every Saturday from 12:30pm 
 
Children aged 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Chatterbooks  

Chatterbooks is an exciting Junior Reading Group where children aged 7 - 11 years can come along to chat about their favourite books, enjoy fun activities and crafts and meet new friends.

First meeting 22 November 2025 at 2:30 – 3:15pm

Adult Mindful Colouring  

Adult mindful colouring, daily 1:00pm – 3:00pm. 


Mindful Colouring groups are for anyone who wants to explore the world of adult colouring.  They can enhance well-being, help calm the mind and relieve stress through relaxed, meditative colouring in.

Junior Mindful Colouring  

Junior mindful colouring, daily 2:00pm – 4.00pm.


Mindfulness colouring sheets are a great way of focusing children's minds to help get them ready to learn.

Our Place is Your Place  

Children are invited to get creative during Mental Health week. Mindful colouring is an outlet for self expression allowing children to stay present, build confidence through completing tasks and helps develop their fine motor skills.

For children aged 5-10 years, children aged 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Booking not required.

NI Science Festival - Discover Coding with Kubo the Robot  

Join our free hands-on coding session with Kubo the Robot. Designed for children aged 4–9; this playful STEM session is part of the NI Science Festival and introduces the basics of coding through guided activities and problem-solving, with no prior experience needed.
