Rhythm and Rhyme  

Held every other Saturday from 10:30am - 11:00am, booking not required.

Rhythm and Rhyme is an exciting free programme to introduce children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories in the library. Rhythm and Rhyme is a great opportunity for children to have fun and learn in a relaxed venue while giving parents and carers the chance to socialise.

Board Games Afternoon  

Roll the dice and join in on the fun with an afternoon of Board Games in Cookstown Library with  Scrabble Snakes and ladders and much more.

Knit and Natter  
Cookstown Library is delighted to launch a new Community Knit and Natter group on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
 
Why not come along for a cup of tea, a friendly chat in a relaxed and welcoming environment, and to avail of the chance to learn new skills!

Reminiscence Group  
First Monday of the month from 10:30am - 11:30am, commencing on Monday 7 October 2024.
 
This group meets on a monthly basis to discuss local history and share memories, with the aim of providing opportunities to reminisce. There are also guest speakers invited to some of the sessions to inspire discussion on a variety of reminiscence topics.

Empathy Day Storytime and Craft  

A heartfelt crafting session were children are invited to create friendship bracelets and design  cards to give to give to someone special as well as a story on kindness and understanding.

Thrive on Thursday for Loneliness Awareness Week  

Cookstown Library invites all members of the community to join us for a Wellbeing Walk and Mindfulness moment back at the library followed by refreshments.

Hi-Vis Awareness week  

We invite you to join us for Hi-Vis Awareness Week event that includes information sharing from members of RNIB as well as a Read-Aloud Story followed by a group discussion. 

 

We will also hear from people living with sight loss as they share their day-today experiences and challenges.
