CUSTOMER NOTICE – July Holiday Closures 

All Libraries NI’s public libraries will be closed on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 July 2026. 

The Mobile Library service will be off the road from Monday 13 to Friday 17 July 2026 inclusive. 

The Out of Hours service will be closed from Saturday 11 to Tuesday 14 July 2026 (inclusive), reopening on Wednesday 15 July 2026 in Out of Hours libraries.

Please remember that eServices (eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eNewspapers) are available during this period, and joining online is free.

Mindful Colouring  
Every Monday from 10:00am - 12:00noon.

Mindful Colouring groups are for anyone who wants to explore the world of adult colouring with intricate colouring patterns and designs. They can enhance well-being, help calm the mind and relieve stress through relaxed, meditative colouring in.

Storytime  
Every Monday from 2:30pm - 3:00pm.
For children aged 4 - 8 years; children must be accompanied by an adult. 

Storytime sessions help children aged 4 - 8 years develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Tuesday 1st session from 9.45am - 10:15am and 2nd session from 10:45am - 11:15am.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Wednesday Lego Club  

Every Wednesday from 3:00pm - 4:00pm.
For children aged 4 - 10 years; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Knit and Natter  
Every Thursday from 10:30am - 12:30pm.

Booking not required.

Knit and Natter groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Tea and Newspapers  
Every Friday from 9:15am - 12:00noon.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann - Live in the Library  

Live in the Library comes to Lisburn Road Library with Sarah Ann Rée
and Paddy McKeown. Sarah brings her unique brand of folk indie
songwriting, while Belfast multi-instrumentalist Paddy adds warm,
seasoned musicianship, creating an intimate opportunity for visitors to
pause and listen.
