Ormeau Road Library awarded Library of Sanctuary status.

Storytime  
Every Tuesday from 3:30pm - 4:00pm.

Storytime sessions help children aged 4 - 8 years develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Wednesday and Friday from 11:00am - 11:30am.

Booking essential - lines open on a Monday at 9:30am.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Knit and Natter  
Every Thursday from 10:00am - 12:30pm.

Knit and Natter groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

South Belfast Dementia Carers Cafe  
In partnership with ForwardSouth
Carers Café is specifically for those who care for someone living with Dementia within the South Belfast Area.

It gives those an opportunity to take time out for themselves, to share experiences, meet others and learn about what services are available.
Last Tuesday of each Month at 10:00am.

Booktastics Reading Group  
On the last Thursday of each month from 4.15-5.00pm.

We are excited to announce a new Booktastics reading group commencing this September 2022. Registrations now open.
 
Junior Reading Groups are a fun way for children P5-P7 to be introduced to a wide range of new books, authors and to make new friends along the way. Members are asked to read a chosen book before each meeting, which will be available to borrow for free from the library catalogue.

Universal Credit Drop-In sessions and Job Club
Facilitated and delivered by Knockbreda Jobs and Benefits Centre
Are you out of work or on low income?

This monthly drop-in session can offer advice, help with a CV and offer support for new claims of Universal Credit and/or those who have encountered a change in circumstances
