Tea and Newspapers  
Every Monday from 10:30am - 12:00 noon.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Monday from 11:00am - 11:30am

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Lego Club  

Lego Club, every Saturday morning from 11:00am to 1:00pm.


Come along, enjoy creating your own Lego creation and have a photograph to go on our Lego gallery wall.

Mindful Colouring  

Every Wednesday from 11:30am - 2:30pm.


Enhance your well-being and calm the mind through relaxed meditative colouring. A gentle way to reduce stress using intricate colouring patterns and designs.

Children's Storytime  

Children's Story Time held on the 1st Thursday of the month from 3.30pm to 4.00pm.


Storytime sessions help children aged 4 - 8 years develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors.

Adult Reading Group  

Join us at Tullycarnet Library for our Adult Reading Group, where we get together to discuss great reads.
New members are always welcome.

Takes place on the second Thursday of each month from September to June at 6:30pm.

Go Green with Libraries NI  

Tullycarnet Green Guardians Eco Club Launch Party

Thursday 17 September 3:30pm – 4:30pm 

Join us for our first mission and give your kids the superpowers to protect our planet! 

The Tullycarnet Green Guardians is a new fun, hands-on monthly library group where 5 to 11-year-olds discover nature, learn about saving the environment, and become local eco-heroes through exciting outdoor adventures, wildlife crafts, and environmental projects. Macmillan Coffee Morning 2026

Good Relations Week 2026  

For Good Relations Week, why not drop into our Library, even if you are not a reader.  If you do enjoy a good read, we can point you to various genres, maybe try a genre  you would not normally read. Discover over a cuppa, all that happens in the library.   From Adults to Children, let's investigate!  There will be fun activities over the week.  We offer a safe and welcoming place for all.  This year's Good Relations' theme is “Include". Tullycarnet Library is excited to include you in our library community.

Tea and Tone  

In association with Engage with Age join us on the 3rd Wednesday of every Month from 1:45pm - 2:30pm for a gentle, fun, seated exercise class to relieve tension and improve flexibility.
Suitable for all, including people with Dementia and their carers.  The perfect mix of music, movement, craic and a cuppa! Beginning 21st October. No booking required

Meet the Minecraft Mobs this Halloween day…if you dare. 

In the library there might be endermen, skeletons, spiders, ghasts, zombies, creepers, pillagers or witches.

Come in your Halloween costume and give the librarians a scare!

Teenage Reading Group  

Teenage Reading Group for 12-15 year olds.  Once a month meet-up to share a love of books, talk about stories and meet new friends.  There will be themed reading for Halloween and Christmas, colouring in and crafts, book playlists and craic.
New members always welcome.  
Takes place on the last Saturday of the month.
