All public libraries in Northern Ireland will be closed on Monday 31 August and Mobile Libraries will not be on the road. The Out of Hours Service will be available in applicable libraries. You can check out our eResources via our website or app.

| Knit and Natter |
Every Monday from 11:00am - 1:00pm Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new. |

| Rhythm and Rhyme |
Every Wednesday from 10:00am - 10:30am. Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories. Booking essential. Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun! |

Rhythm and Rhyme is an exciting free programme to introduce children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories in the library. Rhythm and Rhyme is a great opportunity for children to have fun and learn in a relaxed venue while giving parents and carers the chance to socialise. |

| Junior Reading Group |
First Wednesday of the month from 3:15pm - 4:00pm. For children aged 7 - 9 years old. Junior Reading Groups are a fun way for children to be introduced to a wide range of new books, authors and to make new friends along the way. Members are asked to read a chosen book before each meeting, which will be available to borrow for free from the library catalogue. | Flower Pressing and Collage with Natural Materials |
The event will begin with a flower pressing demonstration, accompanied by educational materials on plant identification, including plant keys and labelled displays of pressed flowers organised by plant family. Each display will feature the plant's common and scientific name, family, and a few interesting facts about its ecology, traditional uses, or role in local biodiversity. |

| Save the Bees! Planting for Pollinators |
Celebrate Go Green with Libraries NI Month by helping to support local wildlife. Decorate your own flowerpot before planting special seed paper that will grow into colourful wildflowers, providing an important food source for bees and other pollinators. This fun, hands-on craft session encourages creativity while exploring the small actions we can all take to care for our environment. |

| Macmillan Coffee Morning |
Join us at Woodstock Library for a warm welcome and a cuppa as we support Macmillan Cancer Support's annual Coffee Morning. Throughout the day, visitors are invited to enjoy homemade cakes, tea and coffee, kindly prepared by library staff, in return for a voluntary donation. Every penny raised will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support, helping people living with cancer receive the practical, emotional and financial support they need. Whether you stay for a chat, catch up with friends or simply enjoy a slice of cake, everyone is welcome to be part of this community fundraising event. Suitable for adults and families

Looking for your next great read? Take a chance on a book you might not normally pick! To celebrate Love Your Library Day, we’re wrapping up a selection of books from a variety of genres and adding a short teaser about what’s inside. You won’t know the title or cover until you choose your book — only the clues will reveal what kind of story awaits. Children’s books will also be available in a clearly labelled selection, so younger readers can join in the fun too. Choose your blind date, take it home and discover whether it’s a perfect match! |
