Stationed at Bordon
9/5/18

Dear Sir,

Just a long delayed line to let you know I have got a sort of way settled down, I am very sorry I could not write sooner. I was just a week in Athlone until I was shifted to England, this place (Bordon) is about 9 1/2 miles from Aldershot, it is a bit lonely but a very healthy spot indeed. I find a great change getting up at five in the morning or finishing up at half past five in the evening, but I feel it doing me all the good in the world.

I would be very much obliged to you indeed if you would let me know how my application went with the Committee, I am sure you did your best any way & I want to thank you very much for all your kindness to me in the past. Remember me to Mr Gourley21 & all the rest not forgetting Miss Miller22 . I sincerely hope that you are keeping quite well as usual. I will close now with best wishes to all.

Your obed servant

R Alexander

Mr J B Goldsbrough
