Dear Coulson,

I was just thinking today that it was high time that I heard from you. I certainly think if I were living the life of a soldier that I would have grand health, but you know it is quite out of the question for me to consider about doing long route marches. I am sure the life is agreeing with you to the full.

I must try and see the great review tomorrow week. I am sure it will be a big affair. When are you going to the front? I suppose you have heard that Simpson83 has got promoted and that he has been gazetted Captain in the Northumberland Fusiliers (Tyneside Scottish).

You seem to have a lot of teaching to do one way or another. We are just busy passing through the press our 26th Annual Report which records the largest issue of books in our history despite the war and rumours of war. Open access is doing well at Falls Road Branch.

Pray don't be so long with your next letter or visit. With kind regards from all members of the staff, your friends at Holywood, including myself, and reciprocating your good wishes.

I am,

Yours sincerely,

CHIEF LIBRARIAN

Lieutenant T. Coulson
